Business is brisk across all sectors of the commercial market and demand for commercial property, be it for rental or to buy, continues to out strip supply.
Commercial investments are much in demand from investors who previously favoured residential buy-to-lets. Owner occupiers are also keen to acquire commercial freeholds to put in to their pension funds. The industrial sector still out performs retail and office sectors although demand is still solid. We recently agreed a letting of 32,500 sq ft warehouse in Leigh on Sea within five working days of the property coming to the market. Would that we had another as we had disappointed applicants waiting in the wings. Good news indeed for our manufacturing sector which needs to be nurtured and grown in order to claw back at least some of what has been outsourced to the Far East.
